An All New “Nick @ Nite” Winter Series Begins This Weekend At East Bay!

Centralia, IL (December, 9, 2008) After a quiet couple months, Nick Lyons and the “Nick @ Nite” Racing Team are set to kick off their ’08-’09 winter racing schedule beginning this coming weekend at the 100 lap $10,000 to win 4 th annual NeSmith Chevrolet World Championship Race this Friday and Saturday nights at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL.

In 2007 the NeSmith Chevrolet World Championship Race drew 75 Crate Late Models with many of the National Super Late Model Stars in attendance along with the best Crate Late Model drivers in the country. At last year’s event Nick Lyons finished second in his heat race, securing a transfer spot in to the Feature Event. After a strong run up front in the opening laps of the Feature Nick Lyons suffered from a flat tire on the #2x machine and was relegated to a 19 th place finish.

“We have been busy getting the car ready for East Bay and I think we are in good shape. I hope to improve on last year’s performance and with the help of Chad Shyster stepping in to fill the Crew-Chief duties down there at East Bay, I think we can do that. Chad Shyster brings a ton of knowledge to the table and I am glad to have him helping out” stated Lyons.

The NeSmith World Championship Race will be the first of many races that Nick Lyons and crew plan to attend during the Winter Racing Season that is held annually at many different tracks throughout the South-Eastern Region. After the events at East Bay Raceway Park, Lyons and crew plan to go to the Talladega Short Track in Talladega, AL, for the 18 th annual Ice Bowl to be held January 1 st-4 th, 2009.
